was gonna get the combo package from modelsport for the jato but dont need half of it but i want the battery packs are the combo ones ok or have you better suggestion

Nitroazza - January 20, 2010 08:06 PM (GMT)
very nice model mate
with the combo packs from modelsport, they give you junky model technics fuel. so wise choice to now go with it, never run model technics fuel, absolute junk.

 great models the jatos, insainly quick as well.. also i think the stock shocks on the jato are one of the best stock shocks around,, beefy arnt they

theres nothing wrong with using 20% mate, but im just wondering why you didnt go for 25%?

HAPPY RC-ING:rc_car:

nobrob - January 22, 2010 09:56 AM (GMT)

gazag - January 22, 2010 03:36 PM (GMT)
jatos are fantsstic models and one day i will get round to owning one :D

be careful of any front end hit you have thought as they have a tandency to brake the front braces on the top deck very easy but otherwise one of the strongest models i know off

fantastic choice and have oddles of fun with it.

Feester - January 22, 2010 05:50 PM (GMT)
Cheers guys i did order 20% optifuel but it was out of stock so i email and asked for 25% and pay the extra cash for it but good old modelsport emailed back to say they would ship it for no extra cost

Everyone has said get an RPM wide bumper for it i i think i will but gonna get break in out the way first then start getting new parts..

Been checking the parts anyway got nothing better to do till fuel comes ;p

Composite Rpm parts look ok for the price or is it worth going for the alloy stuff?? which is pretty expensive

gazag - January 22, 2010 06:11 PM (GMT)
RPM is far far far better than alloy. its lighter, stronger and looks way better. ive always liked the look of the jato with all the blue RPM stuff on it and yeah its far better than alloy.

Feester - January 22, 2010 10:13 PM (GMT)
Can anyone recommend a good charger for 7.2v ez start battery and rx 6v pack the one i got doesn't shut off once charged and i hate that......

Marc.. RC Addict! - January 23, 2010 05:54 PM (GMT)
Cool with 25% your get a bit more power B)

yeh mate gazag is right, in most cases the rpm parts are better then alloy, but i do use alloy on my models.. as long as you dont go over board with alloy, models always break at the weak points, this is a good thing, alloy can also make your model stronger and look nicer..

How much you looking to spend on a charger mate?

but if you just want something thats cheap and does the job, heres one.

Nice one Marc the charger looks great just what i need at good price!!

About the alloy upgrades was gonna buy a few bits but am just gonna leave it and buy bits as ineed them decide what type to buy once its broke lol. I got the rpm bumper on order right enough as i think this is a must...

Alright guys got the jato break in done no problems at all, instructions/manual and the ezstart are great some difference from my previous car(just when i was getting good with the pullstart ;p)

The thing is FAST using on a very long straight piece of road and its still got throttle left before i have to start breaking, would love to check its speed with a gun or gps thingy....

But all this speed and skidding has left the tyres in pretty bad way could you guys recommend any good wheel tyre combos that would be abit longer wearing looking for tarmac ones similar to the anacondas on it and another a set for using on astro turf track......

If anyone got spare 12mm hex wheels and willing to part with them let me know we can sort out a price!!!!
