i took my cars out today and while my rustler was perfect
the revo was an absolute pig everytime it tries to engage 2nd gear the engine dies ive tried leaning it and richening it to no avail
towards the last half hour it didnt sound like it was trying to get in the 2nd gear the engine was screaming and it sounded like the clutch maybe slipping
i have tried running it at the break in settings but it still dies when it hits 2nd
any ideas guys ?
and i think the throttle servo has gone also

It could be a loose slipper clutch dude. Your manual will tell you how to adjust it, its very simple! :thumbs_up:
Maybe time to upgrade the servos :D

Most likely if it's struggling to get into 2nd is the change point is adjusted too far.

It's s very easy operation and only takes a minute or 2 to adjust.

Adjust a little and try again. Give it a couple of runs up and down, if it doesn't change lower it a bit more until it does.

I had similar problems when i first got mine and it turned out after reading the manual one night slightly drunk and knackered that i'd read it wrong the previous times and i was adjusting the Wrong way. We live and learn.

im going to have to get a new throttle servo 1st as its not working at all ive tried reprograming the opti-drive but its still not moving

Dude, the Optidrive has nothing to do with gear change. That's purely to stop you going into reverse if its still moving forward.

Have you got the manual ? If not, you can download it from Traxxas's website.

i meant because the throttle servo has stopped working so i thought my opti-drive may have sumert to do with it
but id didnt so it looks like a new servo
