Title: Starting an RC car - urgent!

Tony20VTurbo - February 26, 2010 06:01 PM (GMT)
Ok, so got round to starting up my RC, but upon starting it goes like mad, revving, so I quickly kill it with pinching the fuel line

I need to adjust the trim on the controller, but what is neutral for the trim or the servo?

some urgent help please

Turn all the radio gear on, set the throttle trim on handset central, take the air filter off and there should be a small 1mm or so gap for the air to go into carb, adjust to set it like that. For starters that is

cheers mate

I got it started - holy sh*t its loud! I had to pretty much cut it off as soon as it has started, as the garages where its at, echoes terribly and its getting a bit late now...dont want to piss off the neighbours

Will take it to the park tomorrow and let it bed in

whats the best procedure for draining the petrol? open the top and drain out?

Yeah, and make sure you empty the fuel line and the head. If its a pull start just take the glow plug out tip it upside down and give it a couple of pulls.
