Title: Did I do well?

balrogonacid - March 1, 2010 12:55 PM (GMT)
Hi, I was bouncing around these forums some months ago asking questions about nitro cars and particularly my Losi XXX-NT but only just got money to do anything with it. Well, I decided that actually, a 1/8 buggy was for me not a 1/10 stadium.

I am now the proud, I hope owner of a Hyper 7 which is meant to be in working order, but as always when I spend a chunk of money on something I know little about so I was wondering if you guy's would take a look at the auction for me and tell me if I did the right thing ^_^

I won this Hyper 7

Thanks in advance :D

it seems tidy enough, as long as it runs then Great. great buggy for having fun with. strong and parts are available every where. just give it a good clean and would recomend you change all the oils.

By all the oils do you mean the diffs and the suspension? I'm trying to put together a list of things to order, like fuel and possibly tools so that I can get it working nicley on like the day I get it lol.

Good set of hex tools

30wt suspension oil should be ok, diff oils from front to back 5-7-2 is a good starting point.

Definately a failsafe.

is the Fastrax CML Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil on modelsport ok for the job? and the Associated Shock Oil 30 Wt?

I take it I'll need to clean the parts before re-oiling, just warm soapy water, or do I need to get a specific cleaner?

as John said with the oils and some after run oil.

some basic tools, alen keys, plug wrench tool, screw drivers, small long nose pliers, these will start you off.

spares: a few glow plugs, battery pack for the reciever, he quotes note sure if will be working!

thanks guys, I think I'll leave it at that now as petrol, oils and the glow plugs is starting to really push my budget lol
