Description: KIT FORMAT
Az- - July 3, 2010 03:05 PM (GMT)
Hi all ,
Has anyone got one ov these new buggys in KIT FORMAT????
I am really interested in buying the Kit but am unsure as to if the buggy is pre-built in the factory or if its a propa kit that will need to be put together , WHICH IS WOT I WANT!
I dont wanna buy this kit if it comes pre-assembled with just the engine and radio gear to add as i want to build it from scratch.
all the pics i have seen are ov the buggy assembled.
any help would be fantastic
thanks

it comes with diffs and shokes made up
but the rest you have 2 build
good kits to start off with and the best way to learn is on a kit
it will come with a 18pg manule but it all so showes you how to put the diffes together
hope this helps

Hi Ansman do a Virus Kit
http://www.ansmannstore.com/radio-controll...-buggy-kit.htmlyou have to build it up, assemblingsteering and suspension assemblies. you will need to supply al the Radio equipment, Engine, and then all the other ancilleries.

Hi Az welcome to the site mate
Hmmm Ansmann, lol as my gran used to say, 'if you dont have nothing nice to say dont say nothing'.
Heres a thought though mate, how about buying a hyper 7, or hyper 8 buggy then taking it apart and rebuilding, Then you would get best of both worlds, A hyper is a buggy twice as good as the virus, you can get better spares and upgrades and for about the same price, then if you really want a kit, (we all like kits) just take the hyper apart and put it back together.

Thanks for all ur comments , didnt no if it came partly assembled or not.
uv been a great help , thanks.
I have a couple nitro rc models , both on road and off road that u use most weekends
i have the HPI nitro monster king truck which is a brilliant scale model and is awsome fun 2 use and i also have a THUNDER TIGER TS4N with a prova subaru bodyshell that i have just finished.
i have taken both these completely apart and rebuilt them adding various hop-ups along the way
allways looking for somthing new , its a fantastic hobby and love everything about it

my mate cook has the ansmann virus, and actually, ansmann copied hobao on that one, the virus chassis is exactly same layout as hyper 7.
when ever he snaps a part, he buys hyper 7 parts to replace it.
however im not 100% if the virsu 2 is the same layout as the hype
but yeah, go for a hyper, million times better

just remember that the hyper7 might be better but the ansmann will do just fine for a first car i also have an ansmann and there not that bad at all never broke anything on it
also ask
teamxray about them hes got a brushless madrat
ianski68 - July 5, 2010 07:51 PM (GMT)
They are nothing like a clone of the hobao Hyper 7. the only similarities are with its layout which probably includes 80% of all buggys. apart from that they are nothing alike. i only know about Virus, Venom range which are very poor in quality. The plastics are not of good quality and extremely brittle. Personaly i would not buy one but thats my opinion. If you want a good starting Buggy, get a Hyper 8 or 8.5.

ahh really? wow, sorry about that then guys.
learnt something new. so are all buggies roughly the same layout simply because its the easiest way to fit everything in the chassis, or because thats the way for being race legal?
thanks

it does seem to look the same as a hyper 7 in terms of lay out , the throttle linkage almost look identical to each other , but then again so do most nitro cars + buggys
my nitro monster truck has a lay-down engine , spreads the weight brilliantly
