Title: HPI Rush Evo
Description: little help needed

Rushem - July 6, 2010 10:13 AM (GMT)
hey guys,

I've just got back into the world of RC and have a few questions regarding my old yet still good Rush evo.
I've started to sort out some niggles I had with it such as the suspension seeming to lock up but thats now sorted and got some Pro Line dirt Paw tires all round and it grips so well on the loose surfaces.

Two things I'd like to find out about are:

-The rear wheels seem to tow in quite alot, is this normal? it doesnt affect the performace of the car but it just had me wondering if they should be like that.

-The .15 engine in there is running well but I was toying with the idea of getting a .18 in there. I believe it is compatible but would I need a new engine mount to do so or would it be a straight drop in?

sorry for the silly questions but am still really new to it all

Any help will be much appreciated

Hi mate, toe in on the rears is fine but obviously depends on how much they toe in.. :D as to the engine i am not quite sur. but there are several factors Engine mounts/space/bell/ flywheel etc etc... may not be worth the hassle in the long run.

if you are going to run on the track near you then you want a rally cross buggy or a Truggy. something that will give you good ground clearence and the suspension to cope with the track conditions

Thanks for the reply and advice mate

the toe in isn't too bad, it doesn't immediately appear to be any way to adjust it nor sign of damage to have caused it so it must be correct :)

I think the engine I'll leave as I didn't realise those other factors you mentioned could need changing also... The .15 in it since cleaning on Sunday appears to be running smooth and to be fair is quite fast too.

The rush with the new tires doesn't do too bad around the track, stiffened the suspension a bit and it improved it's handling a lot. Really would love to get a buggy in the future though

thanks again pal

next time you are over there get some pictures and post onthe forum.
Also maybe create a post to see who else is up to meeting. The more the more fun it is. :D ;)

wouldnt personally change the engine itself mate, if you want slightly faster then change the car. but if theres nothing wrong with it dont change it lol. just got a cheap buggy myself with a .18 motor and my god i didnt think it would be as fast as it is. shame though got it run in used about 700ml in petrol and the rear tyres are pretty shot already lol. like 4days use and there abit smooth :P thats not just on road aswell lol
